SPIN OVER: Empowering Academic Innovation through Digital Communication and Artificial Intelligence

SPIN OVER (Strategic Promotion of Innovation and New Media for Outstanding Ventures in Education and Research) is a European Erasmus+ project that supports university spin-offs, start-ups, and young researchers in effectively promoting their innovations and bringing them closer to the market.

The project addresses a significant gap between research and commercial exploitation by strengthening skills in digital communication, science communication, new media, and Artificial Intelligence. Through innovative educational tools and European collaboration, SPIN OVER contributes to building a stronger academic entrepreneurship ecosystem across Europe.

🎯 Project Objectives

SPIN OVER empowers university spin-offs, start-ups, and researchers by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and tools required to effectively communicate, promote, and commercialize their innovations.

🚀 Objective 1: Strengthening Communication and Entrepreneurial Skills

Enhancing science communication, digital storytelling, and entrepreneurial communication skills for researchers, university spin-offs, and start-ups.

🤖 Objective 2: Promoting Digital and AI Literacy

Developing knowledge and competencies in the use of Artificial Intelligence tools for branding, content creation, digital marketing, and data-driven decision-making.

🌍 Objective 3: Fostering European Collaboration and Networking

Strengthening cooperation among universities, research centres, business incubators, and innovation hubs to promote knowledge transfer and entrepreneurial growth across Europe.

Development of national and European research reports analysing the needs, challenges, opportunities, and emerging trends related to university spin-offs, academic entrepreneurship, digital communication, and Artificial Intelligence.

Creation of a practical training toolkit consisting of short and accessible learning modules focusing on science communication, digital storytelling, new media strategies, and AI-driven marketing.

💻 SPIN OVER Online Learning Platform

Development of a multilingual open-access learning platform providing training materials, video tutorials, expert interviews, interactive learning activities, and best-practice case studies.

🤖 AI-Powered Digital Marketing Guide

Provision of practical guidance on how start-ups and spin-offs can effectively use Artificial Intelligence tools to improve branding, audience engagement, communication strategies, and market visibility.

Collection of real-life experiences, success stories, and best practices from academics, entrepreneurs, and innovation experts across European innovation ecosystems.

🌐 SPIN OVER European Academic Innovation Network

Establishment of a transnational network connecting universities, research centres, business incubators, and innovation hubs to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the long-term sustainability of project outcomes.

🧪 Pilot Trainings and International Learning Activities

Implementation of pilot training programmes, workshops, and international learning activities aimed at testing, validating, and improving the methodologies and resources developed within the project.
